Come visit a church that feels like home.
Come visit a church that feels like home.
Coffee in the kitchen, laughter in the living room.
Sounds like church.
Back to the basics.
You'll notice there is something different about us, we don't limit worship to a specific time or place because we don't place limits on God. Some weeks, you'll be welcomed into someone's home for worship instead of a church building. The focus of the church was never a building, it was always the relationships with God and with each other.
We invite you to see church in an entirely different way. Experience fellowship over coffee in the kitchen, listen to and discuss the sermon with a small group and feel God's presence praying for the world around you. We are the church and we want to see lives changed and disciples made.
Two ways to worship.
Throughout the Bible, we see people worship in many ways and so do we. We find great joy glorifying God by worshipping together and we also enjoy building deeper relationships with God and each other in our house churches. No matter how or where you worship with us, Christ will be at the center of it.
Corporate Worship
On the first and third Sunday of each month, we gather together for worship at our coroporate worship at 9:30am. Worship includes fellowship, prayer, song, sermon and communion.
House Worship
Other than the first and third weekends of the month when we hold our celebration service, we gather together in smaller groups in homes for house worship Sunday mornings at 9:30am.
Corporate Worship
The first and third Sunday of the month at 9:30am
At first glance, our corporate worship service doesn't seem all that different than what you would expect from a worship service. We open worship in song and prayer, we hear the Word of God and have a time for a children's message as well as a sermon. Beyond that, there are a few things that set us apart.
Authentic Fellowship
We truly value relationships. We enjoy fellowship with one another and it's reflected in the way we worship together.
Our Frequency
We only gather everyone together twice each month. We enjoy worshipping together but our smaller house churches also provide an opportunity for worship in ways that don't work in a large group.
The Location
We don't own a building. We've gathered for worship in many different places; community parks, a nature preserve and other church's buildings. The locations may change but God remains the same.
And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.
- Acts 2:44
They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity
- Acts 2:46
House Worship
Sundays at 9:30am on non-celebration service weekends
House worship is something that may be unfamiliar to you but it's worth your time to check it out. The church building has been replaced by people's homes and we gather in smaller groups but none of that stops us from worship.
Building Relationships
We value relationships and we believe there is no better way to build deep relationships with others than in small groups where you can share concerns and celebrate joys with one another.
Sermons at Home
We know a lot of growth comes from sermons and discussion. Our pastor delivers online sermons for our house churches to watch and discuss together.
Purposeful Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer and the small size of our house churches provide an intimate opportunity to pray for one another, our community and the world.
Frequent Questions
In the Bible we see early believers gathering together in many places; temples, town centers and in people's homes. "Church" buildings didn't exist at the time. Meeting outside of a regular church building keeps our focus on people and not property.
A house church usually consists of 3-5 families and 10-20 people. The groups are small enough to meet in most homes and are a great size to create community with authentic relationships.
House church locations can change as they may rotate among different homes. Once you have joined a house church, you will receive a weekly email with the details of where you will be meeting. To find a location to visit a house church, please complete our visitor form.
Corporate worship services meet twice each month and typically last 60 minutes.
The length of house worship varies by house church. Some spend more time in fellowship and others may occasionally share a meal together afterwards. Generally, you should plan on worship lasting about 1 hour.
Whether you are coming to corporate worship or house worship, you are welcome to come in whatever is comfortable. Worship will feel casual and you'll be among friends and family so don't feel like you need to dress up. Dress the same way you would if you were going over to a friends house.
Both corporate worship and house worship include a time for fellowship at the beginning, a sermon in the middle and a time for prayer at the end. Corporate worship adds time for praise through song as well as a message for the children while house churches generally start with a longer fellowship time to connect with one another.
Our pastor will deliver a sermon up front for corporate worship and will prepare an online sermon in advance for all house churches to listen to each week. This ensures the sermons are relevant to our church community and consistent across house churches.
There is a time during both corporate worship and house worship for offering. Gifts can be made in person at the celebration service or online at any time. We give because everything we have belongs to God. We invite everyone to give in joyous response to the work God is doing in their lives, but we have no expectations for guests to give.
We love our youth so much that we treat them as family. We feel the best way to raise our youth is for them to develop meaningful relationships with adults and that means keeping them with everyone else in our homes for worship. During our corporate worship service there will be a time for the children before the sermon.
For those who aren't comfortable meeting in person or aren't ready to try out a house church, our sermons are available on YouTube and via podcast.
